You're chubby, I'm chubby. We're all chubby. You're not chubby? Then get off my page, you skinny biotch! He he, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. If you're wanting to lose 5 lbs or 205 lbs, cha came to the right place. You want it fast? I'll tell ya. Ya want it easy? Stay chubby.
So you're like, "who are you to talk about this?" Okay, you're right, I'm not a personal trainer, I'm not a doctor, I'm only a chubby who can tell you what worked for me. My brother is a body builder and knows more about the body, working out, and losing weight more than anyone I know. He's the one who taught me this technique I'm gonna tell ya about.
I get massively huge when I'm pregnant. Like 220. My "best" pregnancy was at 183. Not so great. I lost an insane amount of weight when I was a teenager, and do I need to mention this body's had four kids? I've done the weight loss thing many a time. I get it. I get all the things that suck about dieting. I get it, honey. I get all the in's and out's of dieting. I've done it all. Wanna know my "secret" to weight loss? Determination. Yeah, that's right. Losing weight sucks. You wanna wish your way skinny? Lemme know how it works, I have a P.h.D. in that. Doesn't get me anywhere. You wanna know how to get skinny? Determination. Yes, I will tell you the "hows" on how I got skinny. Knowing it won't do you any good though. YOU have to do it, not me. Is it faster than most things? Yes, and that's nice, but without determination and will power, you're out of luck my friend. If you cheat, like in any diet or anything in life, you can't come and tell me it didn't work. 'Cause it does. It's you who has to do the work. Like anything, if it's worth having, you'll do it. If it's not, you won't. Easy as that.
Okay, this is a low carb diet. No, it's not Atkins, it's not anyone's but what my brother and I have come up with over the years. I get asked that question ALL the time, so don't ask! :) Like any diet, I will say this: diets are not for everyone! This IS an extreme diet. Could this damage your health? I don't know, I'm not a doctor or your doctor. I will say that my doctor gave ME the ok to do this. Is this diet bad for a human being? No, but because I am not your doctor and cannot evaluate your health, ask them first if this is right for you! Okay, disclaimer aside, let's get down to business. Let's do the who, what, where, when, why.
Who: You. 'Cause you say you're chubby.
What: One half of a chicken breast. That's pretty much all there is to it. No, not deep fried. Baked, boiled, I don't care, just don't mess with the nutritional facts!
Where: Anywhere you go! Do NOT miss an eating!
When: Every two hours, eat a half of a chicken breast. DO NOT MISS an eating! Why? The only way you're going to lose weight is by keeping your metabolism constantly revved. Eating every two hours will keep that metabolism a fat burning machine. This is NOT a starvation diet. It's an always eating all the time diet. Do NOT miss an eating, stuff that chicken down your face every two hours on the dot! Set your timer, you'll be surprised how fast it goes.
Why: There are many why's and I'm going to cover 'em all.
Why does this work?
It's putting your body into ketosis, that's why. What is ketosis? It's when your body starts using fat for energy instead of carbohydrates. That's it. So why have you heard it's a bad thing? Because of ketoacidosis. The two are not the same. Ketoacidosis occurs when a diabetic has too much acid in their blood. Two different medical terms, meaning two different things. Our bodies use carbohydrates as our food. When we don't have carbohydrates, our body's aren't stupid. Do you know how many people eat carb free every day? Did you know that our ancestors didn't have high carbs like we do now? Meat and vegetables, that was it. Man, our ancestors we're cool and dieting WAY ahead of their time. :) You're supposed to be eating low carb anyways. That's why I can say this diet isn't so horrible. Is it the healthiest? How would I know? I'm not your doctor. Do your own research, ask your doctor, do what feels right to you.
You keep feeding your body carbs. That's been its main source of power. When it stops receiving carbs, it'll go to it's backup plan. That's right, pure fat, baby. Our bodies are incredible works of art. They are intricate and have many systems that do several things. If our ancestors didn't have carbs, they would have died; our bodies weren't designed like that. Be forewarned, this diet is very difficult and is very hard. Your brain will literally be starving to death. I know that sounds bad, let me explain. Your body does feed off of carbs, your brain feeds off of carbs. When you stop feeding it carbs, it's going to feel like it's starving to death. No worries, your liver makes glucose, your brains food, and that's all you need. You eat so many carbs, your liver doesn't even work all that much. It's a lot of glucose sitting there in reserve for that very purpose. Your body IS smart. It does know what it's doing. While you're making this transaction, you'll be weak, dizzy, light-headed, and feel SO awful. So starving, so bad. I promise you're not starving and your body is compensating. Making a shift from burning carbs to fat is no easy feat. It does make ya tired. Kind of like having a baby? Does that mean that pregnancy is wrong because your body feels tired and is making changes? No, your body was meant to have babies, same goes for all other changes in your body. People say, "Oh well, I'm weak. The body obviously wasn't meant for this!" Okay, then try to explain how pregnancy is from hell? Okay then! Once your body gets used to ketosis, (after about 10-14 days, you'll feel an incredible energy shift. Yes, you DO get your energy back and stop feeling so bad!) you'll feel much better. It's going to be very uncomfortable in the meantime. You'll get headaches, you'll want to quit. I didn't say it was easy.
Here's how ya do it:
Not cheating on this diet will result in a 2-3 lb weight loss a day.
Yes, that's right. My brother lost 50 lbs in a month. It's easy to drop ten pounds in a few days.
Okay, so now that we've covered how to do this, let's do a FAQ section. Yes, I get so many questions on this, that I will have a FAQ section.
F.A.Q. Frequently asked questions.
Q. "That's it? A half of a chicken breast every two hours?"
A. Yes, you have to keep your carbohydrate intake under less than 20 carbs a day for it to remain in the state of ketosis it needs to be in.
Q. "Can I add vegetables to this?"
A. Sure, it's your waistline, not mine! Seriously, if you want this to work, there is no cheating. You're only cheating yourself. Vegetables DO have carbohydrates in them. Yes, they're on the lower side, but do you know how quickly 20 carbs adds up?
Q. "I can do other meats, right?"
A. No. Other meats have carbs in them. Lots of carbs. Look at the packaging. Google it. A hot dog can have up to 5 grams of carbs. EVERY meat product has a little something too much for this diet. Remember, losing weight ISN'T just staying away from carbs. You can't be low carb and expect to lose weight when you're eating steaks 'round the clock. Do you know how fattening beef is? Yes, you're watching carbs, but you're also watching calories, fat, sodium, ya know, all the things that make you fat? The other rules aren't off just because you're doing low carb now. CHICKEN, THAT'S IT!
Q. "Well what about cheeses?"
A. See above answer. No. Too much fat and too many calories.
Q. "What about calories?"
A. If you eat a half of a chicken breast every two hours, you'll get your daily caloric need. It's around 1200 calories. If you're a man, you could do a few more chicken breast halves. Remember though, losing weight also means creating a caloric deficit. So no, don't eat three bags of chicken in one day! Watch your calories, too!
Q. "What can I do when it's really bad?"
A. Oh yes, it's going to get really bad. You'll feel like you're starving, you'll be SO stupid and won't even be able to function. It IS bad. If you're dedicated enough to try this, here's what you can do. Try some whey protein. Make sure it's very low in carbs. You can't have too many mind you, 'cause you're still watching calories here, but a few drinks of whey protein is totally do-able. You may also be able to get away with some diet drinks. It has to be diet because diet is carb free. Carbs are sugar. That's why your body doesn't need them. Aspartame is pure evil though, diet or not. It's not like Splenda is a whole lot better, but it is in the dieting arena. It doesn't mess with hormones like Aspartame does. Get diet drinks sweetened with Splenda. They sell them at all grocery stores, but it is a little pricier, so it will be advertised on the carton that it's sweetened with Splenda. Not too many, either. Watch your calories and don't forget that carbonation isn't great for ya, either.
Q. "This just sounds like a quick fix. I'll end up gaining it all back, won't I?"
A. If you want to. This is no different than any other diet you've done. If this were liposuction, the South Beach Diet or Atkins, you'd still have to watch what goes into your mouth when this is done. If you plan on stuffing your face after this, oh yeah, plan on gaining it back. If you eat like you're supposed to, no, you won't gain it back. Besides the times I got knocked up, I never gained a pound back of what I've lost. That's years of maintenance for me. Losing weight takes determination and keeping it off takes just as much, it's not rocket science. If you plan on looking good and staying that way, plan on working on this for the rest of your life. You should always be mindful of what's going into your body.
Does it work? Oh yeah. If you stick to it, it works like mad. Don't weigh yourself all the time. Only check first thing in the morning, once a day. DRINK TONS OF WATER! Water is good for you all the time, but especially now, it will help flush fat and toxins. Drink at least 8 cups of water a day, if not more.
Good luck, you're gonna need it. :)
